Our main campus includes a 397-bed, non-profit hospital in scenic Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. Kootenai Health provides opportunities to apply your skills in more than 25 specialties, including cardiology, orthopedics, behavioral health, women’s and children’s services, surgery, and family medicine.

- Continuing Education: We offer up to $5,200 in tuition assistance annually and provide a variety of free training courses through the Kootenai Health University taught by our Organizational Development team! Departments can also assist employees with specialty certifications and conference training.
- Aspiring Nurse Leader Program: Team members seeking to move their nursing careers to the next level may utilize the Aspiring Nurse Leader Program for growth in leadership skills. While in the program, RNs experience nine months of specialized training and are partnered with a nurse manager mentor to ensure their success.
- Nursing Excellence Ladder Program: Nurses are encouraged through the Nursing Excellence Ladder Program to grow professionally and be recognized through financial rewards for advancing their practice and improving organizational outcomes related to safety, compassion, and engagement.

I have had the privilege to work at Kootenai Health and reported to COO Jeremy Evens. It’s not really reporting to Jeremy, it’s more of a partnership and working relationship for the common good of the patients, staff, and community. I can’t say enough about the staff at KH. They are all compassionate, friendly, and always lending a helping hand to one another. It is one of the best well rounded groups of people I have ever had the pleasure to work with.
